SUMMER READING 2022

The 2022 Summer Reading Challenge Runs from Monday June 20th through Friday August 12th!

​Imagine the possibilities this summer by joining Thayer Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme is “Read Beyond the Beaten Path.”
We have something for everyone — Children, Teens, & Adults! Pre-registration opens Wednesday June 1st, 2022!

Kickoff?

Join us Monday June 27th for Mobile Mini Golf! We’ll have a 10 hole course set up throughout the library from 2-5pm as well as some sweet treats! Register here.

How to Participate in TPL Summer Reading?

This year participate in Library Summer Reading through Beanstack ! Already registered last year? Login and get started today! If you haven’t registered before click the link about how to get started! Once you’re registered, you can track your reading, submit reviews (reviews will display readers first name and last initial), earn virtual and physical badges, and more! You can participate by using the mobile app for iOS and Android or visit the Beanstack landing page from your computer! Paper review slips are also available, in addition, for adults – just ask the Reference Desk!

All ages earn weekly prizes, so everyone is encouraged to turn in their book reviews- online or on the printed adult slips/bookmarks!

SYNC

Need free reading audiobook recommendations? Try Sync! SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for tweens & teens ages 13+. SYNC returns this summer, giving participants two thematically paired audiobooks each week. Titles are all available worldwide and change every Thursday at midnight Eastern Time during the season.

SYNC Access Details

o Titles are accessible in Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive.

o Sora is available in your browser at soraapp.com, or as an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

o Each SYNC audiobook will be featured in Sora a window of 7 days.

o Titles are yours indefinitely once you “borrow” them during their 7-day availability window in Sora.

KANOPY

Free films each month on us! Thayer Public Library – (MA) gives you 10 credits to watch critically-acclaimed films, kids picks, indie films, and more each month. You’ll receive a new set of play credits on the first of the month. Visit https://www.kanopy.com/en/thayerlibrary/ to get started!
