On or After April 30
- You will need to update bookmarks and favorites to link to the new catalog at https://braintree.ocln.org. The old catalog will not be available!
- If you have difficulty logging in on April 30 or later, or have forgotten your PIN/password, you will be able to change it by showing ID and providing your email address. If you do not have a current email address on your library account, please contact us if you have forgotten your password.
Please be aware of these anticipated changes for all OCLN libraries:
Existing Checkouts and Holds
Three-Week Loan Periods
OCLN libraries will have standardized checkout periods, so most items will be able to be checked out for three weeks with two renewals, regardless of which library they come from.
Automatic Renewal
Automatic renewal will be applied to everyone. Checked-out items will automatically renew if no one is waiting for them. Opting out will not be an option in the new catalog. Opting in is not required.
Reading History
If you had elected to save your reading history in the old catalog, your list of past checkouts will be transferred to the new catalog.
New Library Catalog
The library catalog will offer new features and more options for patrons. Our librarians will offer mini training sessions in June to familiarize you with the changes, such as tracking your reading history and TBR (To Be Read) list.

Accessing the Catalog
You can find the catalog at catalog.ocln.org. From here, you can search for titles, place holds, update your account, pay bills, and more.
Logging Into Your Account
You can log into your account from any page in the catalog.
Click Sign In in the top right.
Enter your full library card number without any spaces. Then enter your password.
Click Sign In.
A Guide to Your OCLN Password
For users who registered for a library card prior to April 30, 2026:
The default password is “OCLN” (case-sensitive). Use this if you have never changed your password.
If you changed your password prior to April 30, 2026, all letters in your password will be changed to UPPERCASE on April 30.
You can change your password by logging into your account at https://braintree.ocln.org.
For users who register for a library card on or after April 30, 2026:
The default password is the last four digits of your phone number. Use this if you have never changed your password.
You can change your password by logging into your account at https://braintree.ocln.org.
Navigating Your Account
From Your Account Summary page, you can view your due dates by clicking Checked Out Titles, manage your holds with Titles on Hold, view charges, and pay any fines over $0.50 by clicking Charges, and update your preferences with Account Settings. You can also create lists of titles with My Lists and view your Reading History.
Searching the Catalog
To search the catalog, enter your search term into the Search field. Optionally, select a search Type (e.g. Keyword, Title, etc). Click Search. Searches will default to a Keyword search across all of OCLN. These can be adjusted or filtered if you are having trouble finding what you want.
Placing a Hold
Through the catalog, titles from across all of OCLN can be requested for pickup at your local library. To do this, you will need to place a hold.
Search for the title you’d like to request.
Once you’ve found the title, click Place Hold next to the format you’d like to place on hold.
Confirm/choose the OCLN library at which you’d like to pick up the item.
Adjust your notification preferences* if desired. You can choose to be notified by email and/or text message. Thayer Public Library will call patrons who do not use email or text messaging.
Click Submit Hold Request to place the hold.
*These preferences can also be adjusted in Your Account
-> Account Settings -> Hold Notification Preferences.
Managing Your Holds
You can view items on hold by going to Your Account -> Titles on Hold. From here, you can check your status, suspend holds that you’d like later, or cancel holds that you no longer want.
eContent
Digital material from OverDrive and Libby are available directly in the catalog. From your Search Results, you can place holds and check out material with digital formats (like eBook). You can also manage your e-material from Your Account.
Saving Your Reading History
Please note: This feature may not be immediately available on April 30th! You have the option to keep a historical account of titles you’ve checked out. To protect your privacy, this option is disabled by default, unless you have already enabled it. If you’d like to enable your reading history, navigate to Your Account -> Reading History. Read the disclaimer, and continue by clicking Start Recording My Reading History. You’ll also see which titles you have already checked out when searching the catalog.
Reading History is not retroactive; only items checked out at the time of enabling the feature along with future checkouts will be listed in your history.
Important: If Reading History is ever disabled, your history will be lost with no way to restore it!
