CHILDREN’S SUMMER READING 2017

Children’s Summer Reading sign ups start Monday, June 26th. This year’s statewide theme is “Build a Better World.” Learn more about the Massachusetts Statewide Summer Reading Program and the  importance of Summer Reading here.

Stop by the Children’s Room to sign up for Summer Reading. When you sign up you’ll get a pencil, bookmark, reading log to note what you read this summer, a bag to color plus a list of all the great, free programs happening at the library. The Children’s Summer Reading Program is for all children up through grade six — those who can read by themselves, as well as children who have someone read to them.

Be sure to check the library calendar for all the Children’s events planned for this summer!

The “Build a Better World,” Children’s Summer Reading Program 2017 at Thayer Public Library is made possible by the generosity of the Friends of Thayer Public Library.

Summer Reading is supported by your local library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Boston Bruins, with funding from the Institute of Museums and Library Services.
