The Thayer Public Library has memberships to several museums. The museum passes are available to Braintree residents only. Your Thayer Public Library card is required for pass pickup. Some museums charge a nominal fee with the pass. In most cases, there will be an additional cost for special exhibits. We encourage you to phone your destination before leaving home to be assured the museum is open.

PROCEDURE FOR PASS USE

Reservations for museum passes can be made online, in person or on the phone. You must be a Braintree resident and have an account in good standing (less than $5 in fines). You must have your library card  to reserve and check out passes. You may reserve passes at the Adult Reference Desk on the lower level.  For telephone reservations call 781-848-0405 ext. 4417. When you call, please have your library card number available.

Pick up the pass at the Reference Desk, during regular library hours. The pass will be issued to you upon presentation of your Braintree library card. No deposit is required for any pass. If your are unable to use a reserved pass, please call to cancel your reservations so someone else may use it. Passes will be held until 12 noon on the day of use. You must have your Braintree library card to check out passes.

The following passes must be returned to the Reference Desk by 10 am on the due date, which will be the first day the library is open after you use the pass. There is a $5.00 fee if these passes are returned late.
